Explain five (5) attractive new career development models for the new millennium generation of knowledge workers?



Nowadays the society has slowly become the main ground for the young generation to use their talents and skill, especially in the workplace too. To cater to the development of era and millennium generation, many firms also start to implement some new career development models to attract the new millennium generation. One of them will be the flexible working environment. The millennium generation is more like to be free and hate limitations. While the flexible working environment allows the millennium generation to work at any place without just sitting in front of the desk all day as long as the work could be done.

Secondly, the millennium generation is also like to have the flexible arrangement from the time's aspect. Commonly, the working hour will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m which is a total of 8 hours. However, with flexible working hours, employees are able to work with their own desire as long as the work could be done in time. This means that employee is easier to apply work-life balance. In fact, online sales are also one of the flexible works.

其次,千禧一代也喜欢再时间上有着更灵活的安排。通常,工作时间为上午 9 点至下午 5 点,共 8 小时。但是,通过弹性工作时间,只要工作能按时完成,员工就可以按照自己的意愿工作。这意味着员工更容易实现工作与生活的平衡。事实上,网上销售也是灵活的作品之一。



Third, the millennium generation prefers a working environment with concern and lovely culture. Compare with the working environment that quiet, serious, and boring, the young generation is more likely to work in an environment that fulfills happiness, concerning and fun. In this case, employees usually could have a better mood, higher concentration on work, and loyalty to the company too.

第三,千禧一代更喜欢有关怀和关切的文化的工作环境。与安静、严肃、乏味的工作环境相比,年轻一代更可能在满足快乐、关心和乐趣的环境中工作。在这种情况下,员工通常可以有更好的心情,更专注于工作,对公司也更忠诚。



Fourth, ethics is one of the important elements in the workplace too, younger generation that just out of society has a beautiful illusion about the job and working. However, sometimes the workplace is fulfilled with an intertwined network of relationships and unspoken rules. This was possible to cause unfair treatment and destroy the young people’s illusion about the good working environment.

第四,职业道德也是职场的重要元素之一,刚走出社会的年轻一代对工作和工作有着美好的幻想。然而,有时工作场所充满了相互交织的关系网络和潜规则。这有可能造成不公平待遇,破坏年轻人对良好工作环境的幻想。



Fifth, the career that provides growth, learning, promote chance are more attractive to the new millennium generate worker too. The millennium employee is most ambitious, they don’t like to stay at one position but more likely to learn and grow while working too. In fact, the young generation that chooses to continue study reveals that they would like to have a better future. In this situation, they would pay more attention and work harder at the workplace too.

第五,提供成长、学习、晋升机会的职业对新千年一代工人也更具吸引力。千禧年的员工是最有野心的,他们不喜欢呆在一个职位上,但更愿意在工作中学习和成长。事实上,选择继续学习的年轻一代表明他们希望拥有更好的未来。在这种情况下,他们也会在工作场所更加关注并更加努力地工作。
